Basic Education and TVET Examination department

• Manage and coordinate all examination, selection, assessment and certification related activities

• Initiate policies, principles, procedures, and guidelines related to examinations, selection and assessment

• Ensure application of regulations and resolutions of the Board related to examinations, selection and assessment

• Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery in relation with national goals and with reference to regional, Commonwealth and Sustainable Development Goals

• Cooperate and consult with relevant ministries, other government institutions, national and international organisations on matters concerning examinations, selection and assessment

• Place successful candidates in different schools based on their abilities, choices and place of residence

• Prepare for higher institutions of learning a performance list of the applicants for that academic year
